What I love about food is that it is ephemeral. Each time you want to experience a meal, you have to be able to cook it again.
Everyone talks, and everyone eats. But I love words and food as art forms.
Each time I want to hear a piano piece, I have to be able to play it again.
Except if I record the performance.
So with theater – the difference is that you need many people.
So it seems that there are two aspects to experiencing a piece of art:
- can be recorded
- requires multiple people to enact
